LOST IN TRANSLATION

This project reimagines Motif #1 through photogrammetry, transforming it into a three-dimensional digital artifact. Unlike historical paintings limited to specific angles, this approach frees viewers to explore the structure from any viewpoint - above, below, or within - creating a more intimate and interactive relationship with this cultural landmark. By wielding photogrammetry as a digital paintbrush, this project celebrates Motif #1’s legacy while inviting new forms of artistic interpretation and engagement.

Motif #1, the iconic red fishing shack in Rockport, Massachusetts, stands as America’s most painted building. While traditional paintings have captured its essence through fixed perspectives, modern digital technologies now offer more precise ways to document our world.

Stylize drone images using Photoshop Neural Filters.
