Hanzhang (hahn-jahng) Lai is a multidisciplinary designer, architect, and photographer who recently completed a Master of Design Studies, Ecologies Track at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Her research at Harvard GSD explores the intersection of the built environment, sustainability, and systemic changes.

Previously, she was a Junior Architect at MAD Architects and served as an embedded Bloomberg Harvard Summer Fellow in city government. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture in the School of Architecture with a minor in Communication Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.​
