Hanzhang (hahn-jahng) Lai is a multidisciplinary designer, architect, and photographer who recently completed a Master of Design Studies, Ecologies Track at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Her research at Harvard GSD explores the intersection of sustainability, climate change, and social inequality.

Previously, she was a Junior Architect of MAD Architects in Beijing, China. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture in the School of Architecture with a minor in Communication Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.​
